Important League Updates and Information

The MRYSC Board has made some exciting and beneficial changes for the upcoming season:

1. For the safety of our players the League will now require the use of defensive face masks for all players.

2. There may be times that the League will have to schedule games with other local municipalities teams in order to provide a full season of games for the players. We have done this in the past with Northwest Rankin, Pearl, Brandon and Forest Hill's programs. While we make every effort to provide a full season with our teams there are times that we have to schedule with other teams.

3. The League will hold Player Evaluations for the Spring Season on the 22nd and/or 23rd of February to provide coaches the opportunity to observe the players ahead of the league draft (8u-18u) on Feb 26th. 6u players do not have to participate in the Player Evaluations. Players that do not participate in the evaluations will be selected using a blind draft selection process. We strongly encourage that your daughter participates in the Player Evaluations.

4. Parent Meetings will be held January 18th and 22nd at 6:30 at the Parks & Recreation Facility at 1259 HWY 51 in Madison. It will be a great time to learn about the league, division rules, equipment requirements, jersey sizes and more.

5. The League's All-Star selection process will be modified this year. Players who attend The Academy will receive priority selection. If there are not enough players that attended The Academy then other players nominated by their coach will be considered for the All-Star Team*.

Early Registration Ends February 15th - Cost $100 for 8u-18u and $80 for 6u
Regular Registration February 16th-February 25th - Cost $150 for 8u-18u and $100 for 6u
Player Evaluations February 22-23
Coaches Meeting and Draft February 26
Season Begins April 1
Regular Season Ends week of May 6th (weather permitting
Playoffs will be completed before school ends
