U12 - U13 @ Girls Chicago Eclipse Invitational.

This past weekend United's U12 and U13 Girls headed to Chicago to take on some of the Midwest's best competition at the Chicago Eclipse Invitational. In what proved to be a rain drenched weekend, both teams were able to find success combining for a 5-1 overall record. The U12 girls, who went 2-1, opened their tournament in strong fashion by beating #4 ranked Scott Gallagher (Illinois) 1-0. It was the U13 girls however, that proved their quality going 3-0 overall, without conceding a single goal. Only the unplayable field conditions on Sunday kept them from playing their finals match against Indiana Fire (#1 ranked team) and eventually the two teams were named Co-Champions. Despite the wet conditions, it was an awesome weekend for our United girls.
